People languishing in poverty under KCR rule: Revanth

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy today asked CM KCR as to why the people of the state were still languishing in poverty even after six years of completing power in Telangana State.

Rebutting criticism by the TRS leaders that he would always target them out of personal grudge, Revanth Reddy asked them as to why the problems of the people of the State were not being solved. He alleged that the TRS leaders had given away the houses built by the Union government by painting them during their rule. He said the TRS government had not given even a single house in its six years long rule. He said the women of the State were holding dharnas before the farmhouse KCR and the Telangana Bhavan. He said barring one or two media houses, no other media publications were showing these agitations in their newspapers.

Alleging that the TRS government had diverted the funds released from NABARD, Revanth Reddy said the funds of the Central government were also diverted by the State government. He made it clear that he was only questioning the irresponsibility of the State government. Alleging that the Swachch Bharat program was not being implemented in Hyderabad properly, Revanth Reddy said the people in the State capital were living in worse condition than animals.

Citing that GOs used to be issued during the rule of NTR, YSR and Chandrababu Naidu on the same day after their promise, such practice had gone for a toss under Chief Minister KCR rule. He said that a total of 26 lakh families, including 10 lakh from State capital and six lakh from his Malkajgiri constituency seat have no houses of their own. He also alleged that the State government was not sanctioning funds for contractors of the double bed room houses.
