Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening visited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Mr Vajpayee has not been well for last few years but condition reportedly deteriorated during last two days, sources said here.
The 93-year-old BJP veteran was Prime Minister from March 19, 1998 to May 22, 2004 and also for 13 days in 1996.
His birthday, December 23 was declared the “Good Governance Day” by Prime Minister Modi. The Modi government announced Bharat Ratna, country’s highest civilian award in December 2014.
