POlice arrests a Nigerian under Matrimony fraud case
In the name of matrimony Rs 2.22 lakh was taken by a Nigerian Nationality man by deceiving people.Two laptops, 7 mobiles phones, two internet dongles, 3 SIM cards were siezed from him.
A Special team of Cyber Cell, Rachakonda arrested Osazee Russ Ediagbonya (35) of Delhi and a native of Nigeria near Kuber Building in Delhi
and brought him here on transit warrant.
B R Rao of L B Nagar on March 17 registered a complaint in which he stated that, recently he posted his profile in Shaadi.com for marriage alliance, subsequently he received a proposal from a profile of Dr Biya Babar’, Medical practitioner an Indian staying in USA. During the whatsapp conversation Dr.Biya Babar informed him that she will arrive to India on March 14 to meet him. On the same day,an unknown person presenting as customs officer called him and stated that Dr.Biya Babar had been caught by the customs officials at IGI Airport, New Delhi who is carrying USD 5,00,000 and another person citing himself as accounts officer, asked him to deposit money towards customs clearance, for which he has transferred a total amount of Rs 2.22 lakh to the accounts provided by the accused to rescue the lady from them. But later he came to know that he has been cheated by them.
