Hyderabad: Leaders of several political parties today said death of former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy was an irreparable loss to country. They offered floral tributes to Jaipal Reddy at a condolence meeting held at Gandhi Centenary Hall, Nampally Exhibition Grounds here today.
Paying homage to the departed leader, CPI former general secretary and former MP Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy recalled his association with Jaipal Reddy, who contributed his best to the country. “We have been friends since student days”, he said, adding that Jaipal Reddy was also his political opponent. “As an MP Jaipal Reddy had socialist ideas and eloquently fought in Parliament on several issues for people”, he recalled.
Telangana TDP leader Ravula Chandrashekhar Reddy said Jaipal Reddy was a great intellectual and a mobile library. He had vast knowledge on all issues and used to talk with command,” he added.
Another TTDP leader L Ramana, senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao and others were present. (NSS)
