Politicians New Mantra Is Not To Shave Beard For A Cause !!!!

Hyderabad: Vowing not to share their beard for a cause or to achieve a goal, seem to have become the latest fad among political leaders !!!!.

TPCC President T. Uttam Kumar Reddy has been sporting a bush beard for the past few months after making a vow not to shave till the Congress comes back to power in Telangana State by defeating the ruling TRS in the ensuing 2019 elections.

This weird vow has not only caused ripples among the ruling TRS circles but even made Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to take a jibe at the TPCC Chief. ” It will be a pity to see Uttam Kumar Reddy remain a bearded leader as he will not get a chance to shave after the elections”, he sarcastically remarked at one of his public meetings.

The latest politician to make such weird vow is TDP Lok Sabha member C.M.Ramesh of the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh State. The TDP MP the other day declared that he would not shave his beard till the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre lays the foundation stone for the Kadapa steel plant at in the backward Rayalaseema region.

It might be recalled here that the TDP MP was on an indefinite hunger strike demanding the setting up of the steel plant as was promised during the bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh. After his health deteriorated and after lot of persuasion called off his fast. Thus after his hunger strike episode backfired, he made the new vow not to shave his beard till the foundation stone was laid.

Making a vow to seek divine blessings to achieve something has been there since ages. Even TRS Founder President K Chandrasekhar Rao has also taken a vow, though not a weird one of not shaving his beard but to make gold diamond offerings if the state Telangana was achieved. And he has been fulfilling his promise by offering gold and diamond jewellery to various Gods and Goddesses in the state also in the neighbouring Vijayawada. His latest offering will be a Rs.One crore worth gold bonam for Goddess Mahankali of the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad during the ensuing Bonalu Jatara. (NSS).
