Ponguleti condemns flesh trade in Yadadri

Hyderabad: Stating that discovery of prostitution racket in the temple town of Yadagirigutta was shocking, CLP Deputy Leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has said forcing children into flesh trade was a shameful act. He called upon everyone to condemn the acts of pimps and the forces behind the prostitution racket.

Speaking at Assembly Media Point here on Wednesday, Ponguleti said he spoke to the DGP on the issue. It was atrocious on the part of those who were running prostitution racket and giving growth injections to the children before introducing them in prostitution. He also demanded that the police act tough towards the persons whoever it may be behind running prostitution houses and child trafficking.

Urging Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to conduct a review meeting on eradication of child prostitution, he said the government should manage itself rescue and orphan homes perfectly. The police have to find missing girls and provide rehabilitation to the girls struck in the prostitution, he suggested and asked the government to impose social ban against the persons behind the child prostitution punishing them severely.

Making children to participate in prostitution by kidnapping the children was obnoxious act, he remarked and urged Chief Minister to interfere in it. He asked the police to increase the surveillance across the state and create scar among the persons kidnaps children.

He also said that one Mohammed Rafi deceived the people by collecting Rs 100 crore from the people in the name of Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society in Khammam. He said that he urged DGP to initiate action against Mohammed Rafi and demanded the government to order CID inquiry into the issue. He was also demanded the government to repay the money the people paid by recovering the amount from Mohammed Rafi. (NSS)
