Ponnam Congratulates Winner in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar, who lost election from Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat, on Thursday congratulated the winners in the elections. He said he was welcoming the mandate given by the people of his constituency Karimnagar.

Noting that victories and defeats are part of democratic politics, Prabhakar alleged that the anti-Hindu statements of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao resulted in the sudden surge of BJP in the northern districts of Telangana State. He also expressed his surprise over the choice of BJP by the voters despite the fact that the BJP leaders had indulged in raking up communal hatred and praised the killer of Mahatma Gandhi.

Noting that he has been fighting on the public problems eversince he was a student leader, Prabhakar said he would continue to fight on behalf of the people. He hoped that all the newly-elected MPs of the State would work hard for development of  their constituencies in the State. (NSS)
