Hyderabad: TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday exhorted party workers not to lose confidence due to the recent defeat and work vigorously for gaining majority number of seats in the Panchayat Raj and Lok Sabha elections. Though the ruling party’s car was zooming now, it may go flat in the near future, he added.
Addressing mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here today, Ponnam said there was a Rahul wave across the country. He said the Congress would perform well in the upcoming all elections. Commenting on the performance of the BJP in the State, he ridiculed that the saffron party lost deposits in 105 Assembly seats in the State. He also wondered how the BJP can think of contesting in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections after such a dismal performance in the State. (NSS)
