Hyderabad: As part of his annual Southern sojourn in winter, President Ramnath Kovind today arrived here from Delhi. He got down at Hakimpet Airport here and will stay from December 20 to 28.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs welcomed the President. Later, Kovind went to Rashtrapathi Nilayam at Bollaram in Secunderabad. The Governor will host a dinner for the President at Raj Bhavan on December 22. On the same day, the President will launch a mobile app of the Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State branch at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad.
The President will pay a visit to Chennai, Puducherry and Tiruvanathapuram on December 23. He will visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra in Kanyakumari and return to the city on December 26 evening. The President will host “At Home” at Rashtrapathi Nilayam on December 27 for dignitaries, ministers, officials, prominent citizens, academics and others. He will leave from Hakimpet for Delhi at 3.15 pm on December 28.
