President Kovind arriving here on Dec. 20 for 9-day southern sojoun

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S K Joshi today instructed officials to make fool-proof arrangements for the winter visit of President Ramnath Kovind to Hyderabad.

At a review meeting here, the Chief Secretary informed that the President will be arriving here as part of his southern sojourn from December 20 to 28. He said the President will reach Hakimpet Airport at 1 pm.  From there, he would reach Rashtrapathi Nilayam at Bollaram in Secunderabad and stay there till December 22.

On December 23, the President will be leaving for Thiruvananthapuram and return on December 26, he said. Kovind will host “At Home” at the venue on December 27 for State dignitaries. He will leave for Delhi on December 28, he said. He directed the officials concerned to make coordinated efforts to provide all security arrangements and better facilities. Joshi asked them to take all measures to provide total security, CCTV, computers, Internet,  newspapers, medical team, telephone and staff at the venue. He also asked them to ensure improved facilities like uninterrupted power supply, water supply, sanitation, cleanliness, patch up roads, more security en route and traffic regulation.
