President Murmu travels to Srisailam after reaching Hyderabad for five-day winter sojourn

Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, arrived at Shamshabad Airport from New Delhi a while ago for a winter sojourn at Rashtrapati Nilayam from December 26 to 30.

At the airport, the President was greeted by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod.

After landing at Shamshabad Airport, the President traveled to Srisailam Temple in Andhra Pradesh to inaugurate projects related to the development of Srisailam Temple under PRASHAD scheme of Union Ministry of Tourism.  She is expected to pay a visit to Sri Shivaji Spoorthy Kendram in Srisailam before arriving at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad around 4 p.m.

In the evening, she will most likely have dinner at Raj Bhavan, which will be hosted by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. The President will address students and faculty members of the Keshav Memorial Educational Society in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Later in the day, she will visit Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy to address the Officer Trainees of Indian Police Service (74th RR Batch). She will also inaugurate the Wide Plate Mill of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) in Hyderabad.

The President will visit Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamyvari Devasthanam in Bhadrachalam on Wednesday to lay the foundation for the creation of tourism infrastructure at the Bhadrachalam Temple under the PRASHAD scheme. She will also inaugurate Sammakka Saralamma Janjati Pujari Sammelan, organized by the Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad –Telangana and also virtually inaugurate Eklavya Model Residential Schools of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Mahabubabad districts of Telangana.

Later, the President will travel to Warangal district to lay the foundation for the development of tourism infrastructure at Ramappa Temple and the restoration of Kameshwaralaya Temple.

On Thursday, the President will meet with students and faculty members from G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for Women), as well as students and faculty members from BM Malani Nursing College and Suman Junior College of Mahila Dakshata Samithi in Hyderabad. On the same day, she will visit the Statue of Equality at Sriramnagaram, Shamshabad.

The President will host veer naris and other dignitaries on Friday over lunch at Rashtrapati Nilayam, before returning to Delhi.
