President, VP, PM & several others condole death of Jaipal Reddy

Hyderabad: Several national leaders on Sunday expressed their deep condolences at the sudden demise of former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy. The President of India Ram Nath Kovind tweeted and said he was “Sorry to hear of the passing away of Jaipal Reddy. He was a thinking person’s politician and an outstanding Parliamentarian. My condolences to his family and his many associates.”

The Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also expressed his condolences over the death of the former Parliamentarian. Naidu said that he and Reddy worked together as Opposition leaders in the undivided AP Assembly and he used to sit beside Reddy in the House.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences over the death of Jaipal Reddy. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Jaipal Reddy had years of experience in public life. He was respected as an articulate speaker and effective administrator. Saddened by his demise. My thoughts are with his family and well-wishers in this hour of grief.”

Outstanding parliamentarian: Rahul

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi expressed his grief over the death of Jaipal Reddy. In his tweet, he said, “I am sorry to hear about the sad demise of former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Jaipal Reddy. He was an outstanding parliamentarian, great son of Telangana and he dedicated his entire life to public service. My deepest condolence to his family and friends.”

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy said, “I’m saddened to hear the news of the passing away of former Union minister Jaipal Reddy garu. As an MLA and MP for multiple terms, he devoted his life for public service and impressed everyone with his oration. (NSS)
