Prof. Kodandaram condoles swami Agnivesh’s death

Hyderabad: The founder president of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) Prof. Kodandaram today condoled the death of prominent social activist of the country Swami Agnivesh. Prof. Kodandaram said the death of Agnivesh was a great loss to public agitations. Kodandaram said that the former Chief Minister of the undivided Andhra Pradesh state NT Rama Rao gave up his worldly life and became a monk on the advice of Swami Agnivesh.

Speaking to media persons, he rued that the unemployed youth of the state was forced to take out rallies seeking jobs from the state government even after seven years of the formation of Telangana state. He demanded the state government enact a law like neighboring Andhra Pradesh state providing reservations to the local unemployed youth of the state. He also demanded the state government to provide unemployed wage as promised by it before the elections besides demanding the state government to announce a job calendar to fill up all the government jobs in a time-bound manner. Referring to the suicide attempt made by a private teacher from Kadthal Nagkulu, he said that the suicide attempt made by Nagulu was clear proof to highlight the conditions of the unemployed youth of the state. He said that the poor and the middle-class families of the state had struggled a lot during COVID 19 lockdowns.

Kodandaram said that the state had 1,48,016 vacant government jobs. He said that the new district and mandals have more than 50,000 vacant posts. Commenting on the farmers of the state, he demanded the state government to enact laws that will help the poor farmers of the state.
