Purified water to fluoride-prone areas in a month, KTR slams Jana, Uttam, Komati on the issue

Hyderabad: Several leaders and activists of other parties from Nagarjuna Sagar segment today joined the TRS fold in the presence of its working president KT Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, KT Rama Rao claimed that the TRS has won the Assembly polls in a great manner with 70 per cent of people giving support to the ruling party. It is not a simple victory, but a historic one, he claimed. KTR flayed the Congress leaders K Jana Reddy, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and others for ignoring the fluoride problem in the segment.

When the TRS fought against the fluoride problem in the State and Assembly, these leaders remained mute spectators. They also kept mum during previous Congress rule when the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy took away Rs 9,000 crore to Tirupathi for drinking water facility and denied a single rupee for Telangana or Nalgonda district, he fumed. The TRS has won the Assembly polls as the people reposed faith on the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

“In a month, the Mission Bhagiratha project will be completed and will address the fluoride problem in the affected areas in the segment. All the people of the segment will get purified waters to end the fluoride problem permanently”, he said. The people taught the Congress and the BJP leaders a fitting lesson in the Assembly polls, he said. “People of lambada thandas got awareness and dared Jana Reddy for not addressing the perennial issue of fluoride. KCR gets the credit of developing 3,400 tribal thandas into village panchayats and tribals will be chosen as Sarpanches and ward members to develop their own villages soon after panchayat polls. The government will give adequate funds to these hamlets to develop”, he added. (NSS)
