Panchayat Raj Minister, Errabelli Dayakar Rao today warned that the rice millers will be put behind bars for not procuring the paddy from the farmers.
In the previous Warangal district, the minister met with the farmers who expressed displeasure at the rice millers for not procuring the paddy stocks.
The paddy is getting wet and destroyed and the farmers are facing a lot of problems to lift their stocks, he deplored. Talking to an official the minister said that it is better to put some erring rice millers behind bars for lifting the stocks of paddy.

After the season we will file cases against these rice millers and take stringent action, It is good to take action against those millers or officials for not cooperating to take stocks and make payments he said.
I am very unhappy at the pathetic situation of the farmers spending much time of no use, he said. So there is a need for urgent action against the erring rice millers and officials, he felt.
The government is providing all help to the farmers to get benefits through several schemes. However, this problem is continuing unabated, Dayakar Rao deplored.
