Rahul-Chandrababu meet sends shockwaves in AP

Kadapa : The honeymooning between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu continues to create ripples in Andhra Pradesh. Days after the announcement of resignation from the party by the senior Congress leader Vatti Vasant Kumar in protest, another senior Congress leader C. Ramachandraiah also decided to leave the party. He announced that he was also resigning from the party in protest against the decision of the two parties to join hands to defeat the rival BJP.

“Our party high command did not hold any discussions with us on the issue weather to join hands with the TDP or not. Besides, the kind of corruption committed by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is mind-numbing and can’t be expressed in words. The decision of Rahul Gandhi to join hands with the TDP was completely undemocratic. Chandrababu Naidu was caught in the infamous cash-for-vote scam and the Congress party should not have joined hands with him,” he said. (NSS)
