Rahul Gandhi Deals a Blow at PM Modi: “Give Jobs, Not Empty Slogans”

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi today censured the centre over what he said was disregarding real worries of students who are giving placement tests for engineering and medical courses and other profession streams.

The centre has announced that the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for the admittance to the Indian Institute of Technology began today and will conclude on September 6. The JEE and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) are being held to guarantee that students won’t have to waste an academic year in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet today: “Modi Govt is jeopardising India’s future. Arrogance is making them ignore the genuine concerns of the JEE-NEET aspirants as well as the demands of those who took SSC and other exams. Give jobs, not empty slogans”.

Rahul Gandhi went as far as to tweet an entire list of “Modi-Made Disasters”.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold eight enlistment tests in October-November. The listing includes a combined higher secondary level test, junior engineer selection test, combined graduate level test and others.

The Congress and other opposition groups have been taking jabs at the government for holding the examinations when COVID-19 cases in India have been rising quick.
