Rahul Gandhi Mentioned by Obama in His Book, Says He Has Nervous, Uninformed Quality

Ex-US President Barack Obama’s new book ‘A Promised Land’ hits a sharp left hook on Rahul Gandhi’s nervous, uninformed quality while delivering warm, not-so- political praise at Rahul’s mother Sonia Gandhi, as indicated by a book review Thursday in the New York Times.

The initial surge of book selections whirling on the web highlight a brutal takedown of Rahul Gandhi. A review noted, Rahul Gandhi has a nervous, unformed quality about him as if he were a student who’d done the coursework and was eager to impress the teacher but deep down lacked either the aptitude or the passion to master the subject.

Reviewer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie wrote that we are told of the handsomeness of men like Charlie Crist and Rahm Emanuel, but not the beauty of women, except for one or two instances, as in the case of Sonia Gandhi.

Secretary of Defence Bob Gates and the former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh both are included in a subset of individuals who have a kind of impassive integrity.

Mentioning Joe Biden, Obama feels he might get prickly if he thought he wasn’t given his due – a quality that might flare up when dealing with a much younger boss.

It moreover states that Russian President Vladimir Putin reminds Obama to the tough, street-smart ward bosses who used to run the Chicago machine.

The 768-page book is set to release on November 17. It narrates Obama’s childhood and political rise, prior to jumping deeply into his historic 2008 campaign and initial four years in office.

In a short profile issued in TIME magazine in 2015, Obama had stated, Prime Minister Modi recognizes that more than 1 billion Indians living and succeeding together can be an inspiring model for the world.

Other books from Obama include ‘Dreams from My Father’, ‘Change we can Believe in’, ‘The Audacity of Hope’.

He was the first African-American to be elected (and also re-elected) President of the United States. He visited India two times as the US President – in 2010 and 2015.
