Rahul Gandhi Slams Centre Over The New UPSC Chairman

In the latest update, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday went after the Center over the arrangement of the UPSC director, who is said to have close bonds with the RSS.

“Association Pracharak Sangh Commission. India’s Constitution is being annihilated, each Institution in turn,” Rahul Gandhi said in his tweet.

Manoj Soni has been selected as the new director of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). There are claims from various quarters that he has close binds with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), while the UPSC ought to be an impartial body.

Soni was the vice chancellor of the Maharaja Sayajirao University in Gujarat’s Vadodara, he has been connected to the Swaminarayan group in Gujarat.

UPSC is answerable for the enrollment of officials of different All India Services, including IAS, Army and different administrations. Previously, the UPSC executives have been previous officials of the Indian Administrative Service. Soni is Mumbai-based academician.

In another news. The previous vice chancellor of Rajya Sabha P J Kurien, who is one of the G-23 forerunners in Congress, has suddenly erupted at Rahul Gandhi for not counseling seniors in the party and said that the leader of the party need not be from the Gandhi family constantly.

“In the wake of taking off from party liabilities following the Lok Sabha rout in 2019, he is as yet directing terms in the party, which is unjustifiable. The party needs a strong president,” Kurien said in a meeting to a vernacular magazine.

“The party isn’t having an extremely durable president and the justification behind it is Rahul Gandhi. He won’t turn into the president and he is additionally not prepared to acknowledge any other person,” Kurien said, adding that the president’s post couldn’t be kept empty for long when the party is confronting a large number of losses.
