Rain battered in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana

Hyderabad: Rain battered in the several parts of the Hyderabad this afternoon. The areas of the city Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Vanasthalipuram, Lingampally, HayatNagar, Madhapur , Lakdikapul, Jubilee Hills, Sanath Nagar, Ameerpet, Khairtabad, GachiBowli, Uppal , LB Nagar, Dilsukh Nagar, Kothi and other areas of the City witnessed rain.

The rainwater was seen on the roads leading to the hardships for the road users. The GHMC officials are alerted after the rain warning from the meteorological dept. Reports received from the districts said that the rain was lashed in some districts and the farm-related activities are continued in several parts of the State. The farmers are happy with the rain and several projects are getting water.

According to the meteorological dept officials, Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next 24 hours,
In a bulletin here, it said that heavy rain is also likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours and on August 9.

The bulletin said that thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh,  North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at most places or at many places or at a few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next five days, the bulletin said.

Southwest Monsoon has been normal in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana during the same period.

Rain occurred at many places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and  at a  few places in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.

Earlier several crops were damaged in the district gadwal of the Telangana state due to heavy rains.
