Rajeshwar Reddy slams BJP, claims TRS Govt for farmers welfare

TRS MLC and state Rythu Bandhu Samithi President, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy today claimed that Telangana Government is for the welfare of the farmers.

Rajeshwar Reddy hit out at the BJP state leaders for their allegations that the TRS Government failed to address issues of farmers.

Addressing a press conference here the MLA stated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is offering schemes of welfare like no other states. There is no truth in the comments made by the BJP leaders he said. We are purchasing all paddy crops and there is no need of worry he promised. The agricultural officials in all districts and towns are procuring the paddy in all purchase centers he said. We gave instructions to the agriculture and other departments to coordinate and purchase all crops he said.

Rajeshwar Reddy said that the farmers can sell their produce and get money immediately. Despite arrangements made in this regard the BJP spreading falsehood to confuse the farmers. Due to rains, some delay may be causing and the officials will procure total crops he ensured. The TRS Government is committed to providing necessary help and spending Rs 15000 cr on Rythu Bandhu.  No other states in India including that of BJP ruling are not giving financial assistance to the farmers like Telangana he claimed.

As many as 60 lakh farmers of the state get Rs 10,000 per acre in two spells a year the Rythu Bandhu Samithi President added.  He asked the BJP leaders to show whether any other states implementing similar schemes for farmers.

Rajeshwar Reddy also said that the government spent Rs 750 cr to set up Rythu Kallams to dry up and clear the yield on grounds near the farm fields. The Rythu Bandhu Samithi President further added that the KCR Government has been offering Rs 5 lakhs to kin of deceased farmers. He said that 50,600 families of the farmers in Telangana have benefited so far.
