The famous Ramappa temple from the Mulug district of the state has got UNESCO recognition. The Organization has conferred heritage structure status on the temple. The world heritage committee which met in china’s through virtual mode decided to confer the heritage structure status.
The committee has considered 42 structures from across the world. However, only one structure from India in the form of Ramappa got prestigious recognition from the country for the year 2020. The structure was built in the year 1213 AD.
The prime minister of the country Narendra Modi and CM of the state KCR expressed their happiness over the rare achievement. The state BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar also expressed his happiness over the decision of the heritage committee.
