All India Majlis E Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad President Asaduddin Owaisi said that BJP raised the issue of temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, it was revealed that the party’s actions were in contrast to its claims of tolerance.
Mr Owaisi said here that Mr Modi as the PM candidate of BJP had promised during 2014 Lok Sabha elections to take together all sections of the society on path of development and people supported him accepting his words.
After becoming Prime Minister, Mr Modi did not bother to honour his promise and his party raised the issue of construction of temple of Lord Rama at disputed site of Ayodhya when next Lok Sabha elections were few months away, he pointed out.
Mr Modi and his party BJP when changes in their stand become visible when they see parliamentary elections round the corner,”Mr Owaisi said, adding that the days were gone when people used to fall into trap of tall promises of leaders and time had come for them to teach a strong lesson to those trying to take common man for a ride.
