Results in Karnataka will not hold any significance for Telangana: KTR

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Telangana minister KT Rama Rao stated that the Karnataka election results will have no bearing on the upcoming Telangana elections at the end of this year.

Along with wishing the Congress party success in the Karnataka elections, he thanked the people of the state for ‘rejecting ugly and divisive politics’ of the BJP.

“Just the way Kerala Story failed to amuse people of Karnataka, similarly Karnataka election results will have NO bearing on Telangana. Thanks to the people of Karnataka for rejecting ugly & divisive politics Let Hyderabad and Bengaluru compete healthily for investments & creating infrastructure for the greater good of India. My best wishes to the new Congress Govt in Karnataka,” he tweeted.

Revanth Reddy says Karnataka result will be repeated in Telangana

On Saturday, Congress Telangana chief A. Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that the Karnataka election results would be repeated in Telangana.

He said the Congress victory in Karnataka would not be limited to that state. “It will be in Telangana tomorrow, and then the Congress flag will be hoisted on the Red Fort,” Reddy told reporters.

He claimed that, inspired by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo’ message, the people of Karnataka rejected the BJP’s politics of hatred. “This verdict will bring a tsunami in the country to change its politics,” he said.

Revanth Reddy also stated that voters rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao by rejecting the Janata Dal-Secular.

Revanth Reddy, who is also a Member of Parliament, claimed that the BJP, which had been misusing the name of Sri Ram, realized it was no longer useful to them and thus began doing politics under the name of Bajrang Bali. “They have now realised that Bajrang Bali will not bless a party which insulted Sri Ram,” he said.
