Revanth Reddy Criticizes Asaduddin Owaisi,Alleges BJP Support

Telangana Congress head Revanth Reddy attacked AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, saying he “wears a khaki knicker under his sherwani” and supported the BJP.

Revanth Reddy chastised Asaduddin Owaisi for not running for the Goshamahal Assembly constituency in Hyderabad, claiming that he does not want to challenge T Raja Singh, a BJP man close to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Revanth Reddy accused Asaduddin Owaisi of deceiving Muslims in Hyderabad and asked why he didn’t run against Raja Singh. Revanth Reddy stated that despite his father Salahuddin educating him to be a barrister to fight for Muslim rights, Asaduddin Owaisi ended up supporting the BJP, which he claimed had caused problems for Muslims.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief then asked Asaduddin Owaisi to swear that no party was held by PM Modi and Amit Shah for an Asaduddin Owaisi close friend during the Karnataka elections. Revanth Reddy claimed that as a Hindu, he would take an oath at the Bhagyalakshmi temple and asked if Asaduddin Owaisi was willing to come to Makkah Masjid to take an oath on the Quran. The remarks come as political rhetoric heats up ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections.
