Revanth urges people not to believe Harish claims

Hyderabad: Reiterating that the Pranahitha-Chevella and Palamuru-Rangareddy projects were launched by previous Congress government, newly joined Congress leader and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy urged the people not to believe claims of Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on projects. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who transferred three lakh acres of Telangana to Andhra Pradesh for the Polavaram project, had failed to get 1,800 acres from the Maharashtra state. KCR has not only gave share in projects to the Maharashtra State, but also conceded share in water and fishlings.

Speaking to the media at the Assembly on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy questioned the State government as to why it was not giving Rs 12 lakh per acre for the lands acquired from farmers when it was paying Rs 12 lakh per acre to Harish Rao. Revanth Reddy dared Harish Rao to come for a debate on ‘water and truth’ if he was sincere. Alleging that KCR stopped SLBC tunnel works as contractors refused to give commissions, Revanth said Congress was not against the projects but against corruption in the name of water.
