Rs 5 meal to be launched in 18 govt hospitals soon

The Hare Krishna Foundation has entered into an agreement with the TRS government for extending its five-rupee meal program at 18 government hospitals in Hyderabad.

A memorandum of understanding was done here on Tuesday and the representatives of both sides exchanged the files in this regard in the presence of Health Minister T Harish Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao congratulated the Hare Krishna Foundation for extending its service provide quality meals in 18 government hospitals under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limited. Harish Rao said the five-rupee meals would immensely benefit patients and their attendants and thousands of people would get the quality of meals at the lowest price. The Minister said arrangements are being made to launch the five-rupee meal program on the same day across 18 government hospitals by involving elected representatives, MLAs and Ministers.

Hare Krishna Foundation chairman Satya Goura Chandra, TSMIDC chairman Errolla Srinivas and other senior officials were present.
