Hyderabad: The convenor of the joint action committee of RTC Ashwadhama Reddy on Monday ended his fast at Osmania General Hospital in the city. The President of Telangana Jana Samiti present M Kodandaram offered lemon juice to Reddy to end his fast. It may be noted here that the joint action committee convener launched the fast Demanding the state government and the management of the corporation fulfill the long pending demands of the workers on Saturday.
However, the local police forcefully took him away from his house where he launched his strike and admitted him at Osmania General Hospital for treatment on the next day. Despite this, Reddy continued his fast and refused to take the treatment provided by the hospital authorities. He, however, decided to end his fast following the intervention of the President of TJS Kodandaram.
Speaking to media persons after ending his fast, Reddy said that they would take a call on the continuation of the Strike once they receive the order copy from the High Court. He also said that they would make a final announcement on the continuation of the strike after holding a meeting of the joint action committee on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile Reddy said that they had decided to cancel the proposed Sadak bandh program scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
