Russia Begins Manufacturing Vaccines Against Omicron Variant

With the rising concern and lesser knowledge of the Omicron variant of Covid-19, many countries are getting on high alert to avoid another wave of the pandemic. The infection was first detected in South Africa. However, World Health Organisation informed that there is no evidence yet if the new variant was the reason behind increased hospitalisations in the region.

However, to be cautious, Russia has already begun to make vaccines against the Omicron variant.

Russia Prepares For Large-Scale Manufacturing Of Omicron Vaccines 

Russia’s Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology has said it has started fostering another adaptation of Sputnik vaccine adjusted to focus on the Omicron variation of Covid-19.

Gamaleya in an assertion on Monday added that the middle is concentrating on whether its Sputnik V and Sputnik boosters vaccines can kill the Omicron variation as it accepts.
