Sack DS for anti-TRS activities: Kavitha tells CM

Hyderabad: In a piquant situation, TRS MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha today complained to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao against Dharmapuri Srinivas, MP (Rajya Sabha) for “deception and anti-TRS” activities.

In a letter addressed to the TRS president and Chief Minister KCR, Kavitha apprised him of the conspiracies and anti-party activities by D Srinivas and sought disciplinary action against him. Though the TRS welcomed him into the party in good faith for strengthening it, DS has encouraged his son to join the BJP and trying to maintain cordial relations with the Congress. She submitted the same letter of complaint to party Nizamabad incharge Tula Uma.

Speaking to mediapersons later, Kavitha accused D Srinivas of forcing the TRS rank and file to support the BJP. The party was being destroyed by him in the district and other leaders are being put to task, she complained. DS has to set right his family if he has disputes and cannot target our own party, she said. She also alleged that DS, who was known for committing irregularities and minting illegal money was unable to bear the TRS which was free from corruption.

DS, who failed to win the hearts of the local people and defeated as MLA, has been elevated in the TRS to an MP and got cabinet post for making efforts at national level for State interests, she said. Despite the respect, D Srinivas has been indulging in ant-TRS activities. At this juncture, the TRS supremo has to take disciplinary action against him, Kavitha said.

DS creating rift among TRS leaders

Releasing a letter addressed to the Chief Minister in Nizamabad on Wednesday, Kavitha and other leaders said KCR had inducted Srinivas into the TRS fold after the latter made repeated pleas.
To make best use of his experience, Srinivas was made Government Advisor with Cabinet rank and later was given Rajya Sabha member’s post respecting his age and seniority in politics. “However, Srinivas never worked for the party development, and instead, resorted to corrupt practices as well as create rifts between TRS leaders for his personal benefits,” they said. The TRS leaders said Srinivas was trying to weaken the party among the public and was working against the party interests in favour of his son Arvind who joined the BJP about a year ago.

“While Arvind was using abusive language against the TRS leaders, Srinivas has kept silent and was also trying to intimidate loyal activists of TRS to support his son,” they claimed. Further, they complained that rather than being loyal to the party, Srinivas was now making attempts to return to Congress, and sought action against him. (NSS)
