Saudi Arabia lifts the ban on international arrivals

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia on Sunday announced the lifting of the ban on all international flights as well as sea and land entry the Saudi press agency reported.

The two-week ban was a part of the precautionary measure against the spread of the mutant variant of covid-19 detected in a number of countries, Xinhua news agency quoted.
The lifting of the ban decision effective from 11 am on Sunday according to the interior ministry.

The interior ministry also said all non-Saudi citizens should quarantine 14 days outside the counties where the new mutant of covid-19 strain has broken out and should carry at least one test report with them.

Saudi citizens from countries where new mutant of covid-19 strain have broken should be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival and carry two Covid-19 tests reports, it added.

Saudi Arabia had discovered its first covid-19 case in the month of February 2020. After nearly a year of efforts to curb the spread of the covid-19 virus, the number of daily cases in the country is now reduced than 200
