SBI adopts 15 Tigers in Nehru Zoo

Hyderabad: As a part of the Animal Adoption Program of Nehru Zoological Park here, the State Bank of India, Hyderabad circle local Head Office, Koti, adopted 15 Tigers in the Nehru Zoo under corporate social responsibility.

  1. V. Bangar Raju, DGM & CDO, presented a cheque of Rs 15 lakh to R. Shoba, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in the presence of Dr Sidhanand Kukrety, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Director (FAC) Zoo Parks, N. Kshitija, Curator, Nehru Zoo, Sri LSSVD Hanumantha Rao, AGM-PR, T. Harinath Reddy, DM-PR, Dinesh P, AVP-Marketing at Tiger Enclosure in Nehru Zoological Park. Later, they went around the Zoo and appreciated the maintenance of animal enclosures, animal health, and cleanliness of the Zoo Park.

            Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sidhanand Kukrety thanked the SBI officials for evincing keen interest in adopting the tigers for the consecutive sixth year, thereby strengthening the wildlife conservation and awareness programs of the Zoo. He also appealed to all the banks and other corporates to come forward in more number towards the animal adoption scheme in the Zoo Park.

  1. Kshitija, the Curator, thanked the SBI officials for being a valuable member of the Zoo family continuing the relationship with the Nehru Zoological Park. She urged the people and organizations to take part in this journey of Conservation, Breeding, Education with Nehru Zoological Park.

As a part of a study tour to Nehru Zoological Park, “Zoo Directors and Veterinary Officers” from Maharashtra Zoo visited Nehru Park. The members of Maharashtra Zoo Authority showed a keen interest in the maintenance of Nehru Zoological Park. They visited all the animal enclosures, Safari park, Mouse Deer Conservation Breeding Centre and Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre, Veterinary Hospital, Feed Store, workshop and so on.
