SC declines to set aside Report on division of power employees of two Telugu States

Hyderabad: Supreme Court today declined to set aside the Justice Dharmadhikari Report on division of electricity employees among the two Telugu States.

Perusing a petition challenging the report by AP Discom officials, the Apex court asked them to submit objections to the committee in two weeks. The court also asked the committee to speed up the case and gear to the objections. The petitioner objected on division of employees against bifurcation norms. The petitioner  also said 52 and 48 percent of employees division did not take place. He also argued that allocating 655 employees to the AP was a burden.

On this, the Telangana advocate said the State government was offering them salaries for the past six years. The employees deplored that the AP government was not accepting them after being relieved by the Telangana State Government.
