Schools, Colleges to Reopen from Feb 1 with Corona Protocols: Sabitha Indra Reddy

Schools, Colleges and all Educational Institutions in Telangana state will begin from February 1 onwards amid corona protocols and necessary arrangements.

The state government has decided to reopen the Schools, Colleges and all Educational Institutions from first of next month the government instructed that the vaccination is to be taken up in the schools, colleges and institutions wherever necessary.

Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy told media persons that the state government has decided to restart the schools and colleges and all the institutions from February 1.As the schools and colleges in other states ae reopened Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to restart the schools and colleges in the state by following corona protocols.

We have instructed the schools managements both the government and private to follow strictly corona protocols in the premises. The management will take all measures to ensure that the students wear masks, sanitise hands and maintain distance.

The Minister said that the government has instructed the health staff to see that the teachers and staff get vaccinated to avoid infections and viruses. Accordingly, the schools, colleges and educational institutions in the state are to take measures, she said. The schools, colleges and institutes should necessarily take all measures to prevent the cases spread by following protocols of Coronavirus, the minister said. Else the government will take stern action against them, Sabitha Indra Reddy warned.

The minister hoped that the students and parents will follow corona norms as the schools and colleges will be starting on February 1, she said. the minister instructed the parents to see that the students follow corona protocols of wearing masks. Essentially the students should not neglect and avoid fear by wearing the masks to tackle the problem, she said.

The state government extended Sankranthi festival holidays from January 16 to 30 and the court instructed the officials about reopening of the schools from January 31. At this juncture the government has taken a key decision to reopen the Schools, colleges and all educational institutions. The parents are also seeking that they must be reopened despite corona cases surge as the government has to take measures to prevent the spread.
