SCR cancels 34 MMTS trains on Sunday

A press release by the South Central Railways (SCR) announced the cancellation of 34 MMTS services on June 5.

Nine services between Lingampalli and Hyderabad and nine between Hyderabad and Lingampalli have been cancelled.

Additionally, the authorities have cancelled seven services between Falaknuma and Lingampalli and seven services between Lingampalli and Falaknuma.

One service between Secunderabad and Lingampalli has also been cancelled, as has one between Secunderabad and Lingampalli.

Hyderabad and Secunderabad and their outskirts are connected by the Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS). Within the city and in the suburbs, suburban trains serve commuters’ needs.

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced that it will operate additional bus services in Greater Hyderabad to deal with the passenger rush following the cancellation of MMTS services.

There will be 22 bus services between Kesavagiri and Borabanda, 54 between Secunderabad and Hitec City, 16 between Secunderabad and Borabanda, 108 between CBS and Patancheru, and 84 between Secunderabad and Patancheru, according to an official.

SCR sees best monthly earnings in may

In May, (SCR) reported its best-ever monthly earnings in both the passenger and freight segments. In the month of May alone, 423.98 crores in originating passenger revenue were generated across all six railway divisions.

Additionally, the zone generated 1,067 crores in freight revenue last month, which is a record. Railway officials reported that 1,14 lakh passengers were carried by attaching 1,533 additional coaches.

The company’s General Manager in charge Arun Kumar Jain said the achievements are a result of the unrelenting efforts and exceptional synergy displayed by its team members, and he congratulated them.

It is also worth noting that in order to accommodate the summer rush, the South Central Railway (SCR) will run eight special trains between Hyderabad and Tirupati, as well as Tirupati and Kakinada.
