SCR- GM Asks Officials to be Alert during Monsoon

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Gajanan Mallya, advised the officials to focus on maintaining high degree of alertness to ensure safety in train operations particularly during the current monsoon season. He conducted a detailed review meeting o­n Safety and Punctuality  at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments.

The Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.

The G M instructed the officials to intensify the monsoon patrolling and keep continuous vigil at bridges, water tanks adjacent to the railway track and vulnerable areas. He also stressed o­n improvement of train punctuality and freight loading. He also reviewed o­n the loco, signal and track failure incidents which affect the train movement during the recent times.

Gajanan Mallya also reviewed the division wise progress of the works related to implementation of e-Office, e-Drawing, construction of Foot Over Bridges, High level Platforms and elimination of unmanned level crossings over the zone and instructed to expedite the works. All the DRMs of the Zone appraised the loading performance and other issues related to safety and infrastructure development.
