Hyderabad: In a hit and run case, a 34 year-old man identified as Mohd Tajuddin was killed on the Punjagutta flyover late on Saturday night.
Police said Mohd Tajuddin of Karimnagar, who works as a journalist for a vernacular daily in the city, was going on his motorcycle from Banjara Hills towards Begumpet on the Punjagutta flyover when a car coming in the opposite direction hit his bike. “Due to the impact of the collision, Tajuddin was flung in air and landed on the service road beneath. He sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot,” said Punjagutta police.
The driver of the car reportedly fled the spot after the accident. Eye-witnesses said the driver was rash and driving the car in an intoxicated condition when the mishap took place. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and registered a case. (NSS)
