Serious action against falsehood over hospital facilities: Eatala Rajender

Health Minister, Eatala Rajender today denied reports that there is a dearth of oxygen, beds, and facilities in the state to tackle Corona cases.

 

With minister Jagdish Reddy, Eatala Rajender started a mother and child wing at Suryapet Government hospital.

He informed the media that the people should not believe in rumors being spread in this regard.

Some rumors being spread and there is no truth in this he stated. He warned of serious action against falsehood on facilities in the hospitals.

We have an adequate supply of oxygen, beds, medicines, doctors, health staff, and facilities in all hospitals and vaccination to be intensified from May 1. The government hospitals are capable to offer 10 lakh doses a day as there is full health staff. We have medical oxygen, beds, and facilities to cater to the needs of Corona cases he claimed.

He asked the people to follow Corona protocols and remain cautious. The vaccine will be given to those 45 years and above as per norms and to 60 years above. He stated that the state government has made all necessary arrangements to fight the virus spread and people have to cooperate.   Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed to take more steps to increase vaccination.

We have taken steps and instructed the officials of the health wing to coordinate and increase testing and inoculation. He asked the people to avoid fear and come to the hospital when serious and not to make frequent visits which may lead to health issues.

Wearing masks is a must and sanitization of the hands is to be followed besides maintaining social distance.

We get doses from the center and eligible people have to take jabs. If we follow these norms coronavirus will not attack us and people avoid fear or confusion. The health minister said that the government hospitals are providing better services.

Jagdish Reddy said separate beds are allotted in hospitals, PHCs in several districts and towns. Collectors were asked to take temporary health staff if necessary.
