Several leaders join Congress in Gajwel

Medak/Hyderabad: Ruling TRS party received a shock in caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Gajwel constituency today. Several public representatives from the constituency left TRS and joined the Congress today in the presence of TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan.

Jagadevpur MPP Renuka, along with two MPTCs — Mamatha Bhanu, Kavitha Yadagiri and two sarpanchs and two councellors joined Congress party. It may be mentioned here that KCR’s farmhouse was under Jagadevpur mandal and its MPP joined the Congress party.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy called upon the activists to face the TRS party’s “conspiracies” as they were already distributing money and liquor to obstruct the victory of Congress in the State. Stating that the elections were between the KCR family and people of the State, Uttam said the TRS party activists joining Congress party from KCR’s own constituency, was an indication for the defeat of TRS party. He said Onteru Prathap Reddy will win the election against KCR. (NSS)
