Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in the Council, Md Shabbir Ali today paid rich tributes to former prime minister late Atal Behari Vajpayee in the council session here. He said Vajpayee never touched upon communal lines despite being loyal to Sangh Parivaar and RSS.
Shabbir Ali also recalled that he used to listen to Atal Behari Vajpayee speeches. He extended support to KCR and the government’s decision to install a memorial. Shabbir Ali said Vajpayee had asked then chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi to follow Raj Dharma in the aftermath of Gujarat riots. Ali also said that Vajpayee was the great leader of the country who brought world level recognition to the nation.
BJP Member, Ramchandra Rao and others also paid tributes to Vajpayee. Later, KCR announced to present year wise Mimicry awards to honour Nerella Venu Madhav. (NSS)
