Sheep & fish schemes fulfilling aspirations of Yadavas and BCs: Talasani

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the State government will address the issues of the department. He greeted the new secretary of the department Anitha Rajendra when she called on him at his chambers here.

The minister directed her to give a report to strengthen veterinary hospitals, equipment, staff and offer better services to cattle in the state. “I will make efforts to get funds for the purpose after taking the report to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao”, he said. He also said that a report will be submitted after holding meetings with officials at the State and district level.

The minister asked the new secretary to conduct a state-level meetings with officials to find out the problems. He also instructed Anitha Rajendra to hold reviews with district officials to address the departmental issues. “We are ready to spend funds to address the problems of veterinary and related wings”, he said, adding that the KCR Government has been offering Rs. 4 per liter milk towards incentive. He asked that mobile outlets of Vijay dairy, fish be operated in 259 wards of the GHMC area. The same be put up on the highways, dense areas of people and districts.

The minister said the sheep and fish schemes are fulfilling aspirations of Yadavas and Backward Classes. Credit will go to the Chief Minister, he said. “We are working as per KCR ideas, vision and guidance”, Srinivas Yadav said.
