Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, issued P.D. Orders against Mohd Ameer alias Ameer, a “Snatcher” of Saidabad Police Station on December 19.
Ameer, 22, a lorry driver, residing at Rajiv Nagar, Tandoor in Vikarabad district and a native of Chandrayangutta, Bandlaguda, committed offences of snatchings, robbery, two-wheelers theft and attempt to murder under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits and Vikarabad District in an organized manner. He was creating fear among the public and disturbing peace in the society.
The Saidabad police arrested him on October 29 and charged him under Sections 339, 353 r/w 34 IPC @ Sec 25(1)(b) of Indian Arms Act 1959 of Saidabad PS and remanded to judicial custody. The Preventive Detention order was executed on him on December 20 and was lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail. (NSS)
