In the latest update, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday welcomed scientists from BRICS nations to work closely with South African scientists in further investigating the different qualities of the Covid-19 infection and its transformations.
Intra-BRICS Participation Against Pandemic
Ramaphosa settled on the decision when he named the Chairperson of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Covid-19 Koleka Mlisana to lead an assignment group of South African scientists in the space of genomic sequencing to work with their scientists from other BRICS nations.
This drive is a commitment to intra-BRICS participation to fortify readiness and reactions to the pandemic as expressed in the New Delhi Declaration, which was embraced at the thirteenth BRICS Summit in September 2021.
