Hyderabad : Telangana Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today said he will attend a Commonwealth nations’ conference of Speakers of all nations and States at Campa in Uganda from September 24 to 29.
The Speaker was in Delhi attending a meeting of Speakers and Council chairmen headed by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Reddy said that this meeting is a prelude to the upcoming conference of commonwealth nations in Uganda. As many as 53 nations will participate in the international meeting he said.
Om Birla is to lead the team to that conference and represent India in the international conference he said. He said that the speakers of all nations and states from our country will represent in the meeting.
He will talk on Indian constitution, proceedings of parliament, Assemblies, councils and traditions during debate and functioning to uphold democratic values. Om Birla is to talk on national integrity and sovereignty at the international meeting, he added. (NSS)
