Sports streaming giant DAZN to set up product development center in Hyderabad

DAZN, a global leader in sports live streaming, has announced a Product Development Centre in Hyderabad, just one day after the London Stock Exchange Group announced its Technology Centre of Excellence.

This investment would result in the creation of 1000 jobs in Telangana. The announcement came following a meeting in London between Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and DAZN Group’s Chief Technology Officer, Sandeep Tiku, and Board Member, EVP, Communications, Daisy Wells.

DAZN, an international over-the-top sports streaming service with over 200 countries of presence and 60 million registered users, streams live and on-demand sports content in other countries, including major events such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Serie A, La Liga, English Premier League, NFL, NBA, and IPL.

DAZN’s investment demonstrates Telangana‘s rising presence in innovation, media, and entertainment.

London Stock Exchange Group decides to establish tech centre

In a significant boost to Telangana’s banking, financial services, and insurance sectors, the London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) has announced its decision to establish a Technology Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, generating employment for approximately 1,000 people in a year.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Telangana government and LSEG, according to a statement on the Minister’s official Twitter handle. McCarthy and Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary (IT and Industries), signed the memorandum of understanding.

The London Stock Exchange Group is a leading provider of global financial market infrastructure and data, with a rich history going as far back as over 300 years. LSEG has a global presence, with operations in 70 countries and customers in 190 countries.

E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, A Amarnath Reddy, Chief Information Officer, ITE&C Department were also present.
