State Government give Rs 1450 cr towards Rythu Bhima

Telangana state government today gave Rs 1450 cr towards farmers insurance in Telangana for 2021-22.

A cabinet sub-committee meeting was held on the agriculture sector and to boost production by taking up alternative crops and commercial crops.

It was headed by Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy and attended by Ministers KT Rama Rao, Jagadish Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Indrakarn Reddy, Ajay Kumar, and officials. KTR and other ministers gave away Rs 1450 crore insurance for farmers to the LIC officials. After the meeting, the ministers offered Rs 1450 cr to the LIC officials on the occasion.

Niranjan Reddy said that the KCR Government is taking all steps for the cause of the farmers. Rythu Bandhu, loan waiver, 24 hours power, and rythu vedikas, the minister said. No other states are able to implement such schemes for the farmers, he said.

With more marketing facilities the farmers got courage that their products were being sold at MSP, he said.

We are providing necessary help to the farmers as the corona pandemic incurred loss to all sectors, Reddy said. He attributed the welfare schemes to the determination of the Chief Minister.
