State Spending Rs.11,758 Cr on Aasara Pensions–Errabelli

Hyderabad: State panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday said that they would provide old Age pensions to all those poor people who have completed the age of 57 years after the month of March 2020. He made these remarks while replying to a question raised by the members of state assembly K. Chander, Dharma Reddy,  Raja Singh, Veeraiah, Bhaskar Rao,  Jaffar Hussain on the issue of the Aasara pensions.

Arabella said that they were providing pensions to toddy tapers, weavers, beedi workers, Single women, HIV patients, and Failaria patients. He said that the state has 38,77,717 Asara pensioners and added that they were spending Rs.879 crore per month on pensions. He said that the reduction of the age for old age people from 65 years to 57 years would benefit another 6.62 lakh people in the state. He said that they were spending a total of Rs.11758 crore per annum to implement the pensions scheme.
