Street Play held as part of Swachhta campaign in MANUU

Hyderabad: ‘It is the responsibility of everyone in the society to keep our surroundings clean along with our home. Throw garbage only in dustbins. If every citizen understands the importance of cleanliness and follow it as a mission then only we will be able to breathe in a clean environment’. These thoughts were expressed by Dr. M A Sikandar, Registrar today while speaking at Swachhta hi Seva campaign.

NSS Cell of Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing Swachhta hi Seva fortnight from 15th September to 2nd October, 2018.The programme is being run as per the guidelines issued by MHRD, Government of India.

In this connection, various cultural and literary competitions are being held for students under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Fariyad, Programme Coordinator.

Large number of students visited Telecomnagar vegetable & fruit market near Campus and encouraged public and vendors not to throw wastage on roadside and to keep surroundings clean. Students presented Nukkad Natak (Street Play) ‘Kuda Mohalla’ at MANUU Campus and in nearby areas as part of the campaign. Dr. Meraj Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of MCJ has directed the play.

Prof. S. M. Rahmathullah, Chairman, awareness programme while praising the performance of students said, everybody needs an opportunity to show their talent and our students have proved it by their performances.

Dr. Mohammad Fariyad speaking on the occasion said, students are not only pursuing their studies sincerely but also discharging their duties towards nation and society.
