Students at government colleges to receive tabs from KTR

Industries Minister KT Rama Rao will make good on his promise to distribute tablets loaded with special software and coaching materials to 11th and 12th grade government college students in Rajanna Sircilla district this week.

Three years ago, the Minister launched a “Gift A Smile” initiative to meaningfully celebrate his birthday.

The Minister had promised to distribute tablets to students this year as part of the initiative.

KT Rama Rao, who shared images of the tablets, tweeted on Monday, “Happy to be keeping my promise of gifting Byju’s powered Samsung tablets to government college students in Rajanna Sircilla district. The tabs are ready, and we will begin distributing them this week.”

On his birthday this year, the Minister announced in his personal capacity the distribution of tabs to students.

“This year, as part of the Gift A Smile campaign, I will personally distribute Byju’s powered tablets with software and coaching material to Rajanna Sircilla district Government College students. This will provide students with additional material to help them prepare for competitive exams,” KT Rama Rao said on Twitter.

KTR offers opportunities for innovators among engineering students

KTR announced opportunities for innovators among engineering students, saying the government would be the first customer and enabler of their innovative ideas.

He stated that the TRS government is pro-innovation, referring to government initiatives such as T-Hub, We-Hub, T-Works, and TASK and that any student with an idea could use the facilities and walk away with a new product or an enterprise. In addition to funding opportunities, the government will mentor the innovators, he said.

Rao advised innovators to be inspired by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and to think big like him. He requested that university officials arrange for engineering students to visit the Kaleshwaram project.
