Supreme Court rejects Congress plea against Assembly dissolution

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today dismissed the petition filed by Telangana Congress leader and former minister D K Aruna challenging the dissolution of Telangana Assembly by the Governor. With the High Court rejecting a similar petition filed by the Congress leader recently, the Apex Court too dismissed her petition like rubbing salt to injury.

It may be mentioned here that both the High Court and Supreme Court dismissed the petitions filed by the TPCC leaders on the alleged irregularities in the voter lists. With the series of defeats in the judiciary, the Congress leaders are in a quandary. After dissolution of the Assembly, the fastidious Congress leaders have successfully sabotaged distribution of Bathukamma saris and Rythu Bandhu scheme.

Depressed by defeat after defeat, the Mahakutami leaders have resorted to level baseless allegations against the Police department and also the Election Commission. The Mahakutami leaders were deliberately trying to create hurdles against the ruling party as they are convinced of their miserable defeat at the hustings, people of the State strongly feel. (NSS)
